Heroic Community!!

In the last few emails, I gave you an update on our Series A, shared the new “Imagine the World…” script, and introduced Heroic Quests.

Today, I’m thrilled to share our vision for Heroic Education.

Pop quiz…

Who’s going to be running the world in 2051?

Answer:

The kids in high school RIGHT NOW.

(Goosebumps.)

Of everything we’re building, Heroic Education is—at the very least—tied for first when it comes to what excites us most.

While we remain focused on optimizing our core DTC flywheel in 2025, we’ve already begun rolling out Heroic Education pilots—and the early results are deeply inspiring.

📈 Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky and her team have conducted formal research showing that our work quickly boosts self-efficacy in students.

💬 The qualitative feedback we’ve received from both students and educators is just as moving.

Here are a few from students…

“No one ever told me to embrace adversity, but your message about being ‘antifragile’ changed my perspective. I now see challenges as opportunities to grow stronger rather than obstacles to avoid.”

— Thomas Buckley, Student

“Hearing about Areté and how to align my actions with my deepest values gave me clarity. I’m now working to express the best version of myself in everything I do academically, personally, and socially. … Because of you, I am going to be practicing more self-compassion so I can reach my full potential.”

— Malia Giumarra, Student

“As a student leader, I’ve struggled with unrealistic expectations of myself and others. Your session helped me understand the power of small steps and self-compassion, which  I’m now applying in both academics and leadership.”

— Samuel Ayeni, Student

“Your words genuinely inspired me to take ownership of my actions and to reflect on the emotions I want to nurture and those I want to let go of. I rarely open up to myself about feeling alone or somewhat down... But your speech encouraged me to embrace autonomy, to focus on choices that bring lasting value, and to redefine how I approach my well-being.”

— Thomas Woods, Student

“Your talk reminded me to ‘choose enlightenment over entertainment.’ It inspired me to step away from distractions and focus on building habits that align with my future goals.”

— Charley Gless, Student

And a few more from faculty…

“With the Heroic tools in hand, faculty members report feeling more energized, connected, and purpose-driven in their work, while students consistently show greater motivation, self-awareness, and the ability to navigate challenges with grit and determination.”

— Tim Dowd, Ed.D. Curriculum & Instruction Specialist

“As an educator and leader, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative impact that Heroic has on students’ development of executive skills. In a world where academic success depends not only on intelligence but on discipline, resilience, and confidence, Heroic provides a powerful framework to cultivate essential life skills that go far beyond the classroom.”

— Dr. Vanessa R. Pereira, Principal, Red Bank Catholic High School

“The Philosopher’s Notes and +1s have been a huge help in achieving what felt impossible.”

— Lynne Schroeder, Director of Marketing at Benedictine High School

And… watch this student at a Heroic Workshop at her school (led by one of our extraordinary Heroic principals!) sharing her Hero Bars and talking about how—if she can do that—then she can chase her biggest dreams.

I got tears in my eyes just typing that.

My goodness I wish I learned this when I was her age.

And my goodness am I inspired when I imagine a generation of Heroes taught how to think—and act—Heroically.

There’s so much more I can share.

I’ll leave it at that for now.

And…

I’ll ask again…

Are you an accredited investor?

If so, would you like to invest in our Series A to help us bring this vision to life?

We’d be honored to have your support.

With love, gratitude, hope, and fierce resolve for training the next generation of heroes,

P.S. In my first update email I shared some notes from Michael Cleveland and Michael Ward about why they doubled down on their investment.

Here’s another one from a financial planner:

“I’m investing in Heroic because of the profound impact it has had on my life. Four years ago, I took a leap of faith, investing when there was little data to prove Heroic could achieve such ambitious goals.

But I believed in the mission—and today, Brian Johnson and his team have demonstrated that they are not just surviving but thriving, building an antifragile organization with the tools, expertise, and experience to become the leading organization in the global personal development market.

Thanks to Heroic, I’m flourishing like never before—my relationships, career, health, and finances have all greatly transformed. I’m investing again because I want others to experience the same life-changing benefits. When more people flourish, the world becomes a better place for us all.”

btw…

Did you know that you can invest in Heroic via a Self-Directed IRA?

The other day, I had a great conversation with that investor above--the one who's also a financial planner and doubled his investment. (Appreciate you, sir! 🙏)

He encouraged me to share something with you that could be a powerful way to optimize your investment in Heroic—investing through a Self-Directed IRA (SDIRA) or a Program-Related Investment (PRI) for those with foundations.

He’s making his additional investment through an SDIRA, recognizing it as a tax-advantaged way to support Heroic while aligning his long-term capital with our mission. If you have an SDIRA (or are considering setting one up), this could be a compelling option for you as well.

Note: To be clear, and to make our attorneys happy (😉), we are NOT offering investment advice. See the full disclaimer below in the PS.

Why Consider a Self-Directed IRA?

A Self-Directed IRA (SDIRA) allows you to invest in private companies like Heroic while benefiting from:

Tax-Deferred or Tax-Free Growth: Gains inside an SDIRA may grow tax-free (Roth IRA) or tax-deferred (Traditional IRA).

Long-Term Capital Allocation: Aligns with Heroic’s mission-driven, long-term value creation.

Diversification: Expands your investment portfolio beyond traditional stocks and bonds.

How It Works:

  1. If you already have a Self-Directed IRA, you can direct an investment into Heroic’s upcoming Series A.

  2. If you have a Traditional IRA or a Roth IRA, you may be able to roll it into an SDIRA through a custodian.

  3. Funds invested through an SDIRA remain tax-advantaged until withdrawal.

We encourage you to speak with your financial advisor or IRA custodian to determine whether this could be a good fit for your portfolio.
