Heroic Community!!

In my last note, I gave you a quick update on our $10.1M Series A and promised to share more on how we’re thinking about things.

As I mentioned in that email, my intention with this series of emails I’m sending to you—our Heroic Community—is twofold.

First, I want you to be fired up about what we’re creating together. 🔥

Today I want to chat about v2 of our “Imagine the World We Must Create Together” video.

As much as I loved the power of the vision we shared in the original version, after doing more research on the level of suffering in the world—catalyzed by the loss of a member of our community—I realized the script was missing something very important:

The current state of our reality.

Depression, anxiety, suicide, addiction, and burnout are at all-time highs—while an entire generation is at risk of failing to launch.

Too many are suffering in silence, without the tools to navigate life’s challenges.

So…

I created a new opening.

I will be filming it soon. We’ll be sharing the video with our broader community and prospective investors after that.

P.S. One other thing I forgot to mention…

While I was researching depression, anxiety, etc., General Fenton texted me to say I appeared in a recent 60 Minutes episode with him.

That image is from the day I gave my talk on Antifragility to General Fenton and 1,000+ of his top commanding officers at SOCOM.

I got emotional talking about my dad, and his dad—and the father featured in that 60 Minutes episode who lost his Navy SEAL son.

SOCOM summarized my talk by saying:

“Brian Johnson founder and CEO of Heroic Public Benefit Corporation gave a briefing on how his company Heroic uses ancient philosophers’ wisdom to empower and strengthen the modern mind.

‘If people are more important than hardware, the ultimate war is internal, [the mind] not external, and we win that war by learning how to flourish by putting our virtues in action,’ said Johnson. ‘Then we must train and measure that.’”

I repeat: We have so much work to do.

It is an honor to do it together.

P.P.S. In one of my recent chats with an existing investor who is more than doubling their investment, they shared an incredibly powerful story about how our work helped one of their family members conquer addiction.
