Heroes!

Today I am incredibly excited to share more about how we are striving to serve our servicemen and women with our Heroic Military initiatives.

As I said in our update blast regarding our partnership with the cadets, faculty, and staff at the US Military Academy at West Point, serving those who protect the freedoms on which our flourishing depends is incredibly important to me.

Which is why it is such a sacred honor to be in discussions with the leadership team at the Preservation of the Force and Families at the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) regarding how we may be able to serve their special operations forces and command personnel with the Heroic app.

Our shared prospective mission is to help train heroes on both the battlefield AND on the home front.

As part of our ongoing discussions, we recently submitted a pre-application to USSOCOM personnel to prove the efficacy of the Heroic app with these elite warriors and their support staff.

Today I am excited to share with you the pre-application itself so you can see how we are thinking about things and approaching such a powerful prospective partnership.

To be clear, this is just ONE step in a much longer process but the fact that we are even in these discussions is, again, a sacred honor.

P.S. I drafted this note last week and we did not intend to send it on September 11th. 

When I realized the significance of sending THIS email on THIS day, I found the notebook I kept from a trip I took twenty-two years ago—the trip on which I studied Socrates in Athens, Jesus in Jerusalem, Rumi in Turkey, and Aurelius near the Danube river of Hungary. 

On 9/11/2001, I was in Germany.

On September 14th, I attended a gathering at the Brandenburg Gate. 

I just got goosebumps and tears in my eyes typing that as I can viscerally FEEL the energy from that day over two decades ago when about 200,000 (!!!) people attended a memorial service in solidarity with the United States. 

It’s Day 1. 

It’s time to give back in equal measure to all those who have so lovingly and courageously and Heroically sacrificed so much to serve us.
